The community I grew up in

 

This was taken at the house where we lived most of my childhood. I'm the one standing. I'm wearing a pink tracksuit that was made by my mother or grandmother whom both enjoyed making clothes. It started with my gran (my mother's mother) whom made all the clothes that every one of her seven children wore. My mother took on the tradition and this is probably where my love of making simple garments and hunger for learning more techniques come from.
